CM/ECF Release Notes for Trustees (PACER Users)
The Bankruptcy Administration Improvement Act of 2020 (BAIA) was enacted on January 12, 2021. The BAIA added a new subsection (e) to Section 330 of the bankruptcy code that established a new payment for chapter 7 trustees, that is paid in addition to the existing payment the trustee receives when a case is closed. If the trustee files a certification in error, the trustee must withdraw the certification using the below docket event. Note: The trustee may file a certification in a closed case without the need to file a motion to reopen. |
