Objection to Claim

Miss. Bankr. L.R. 3007-1(a)(4)

Miss. Bankr. L.R. 3007-1(a)(4) requires the objecting party to file a 30-day notice when objecting to a proof of claim.

A local form (MSSB-LR-3007-1) is available on the court's website at www.mssb.uscourts.gov.

The objection must provide (at a minimum):

  • name of claimant;
  • claim amount;
  • basis for the objection; and
  • the claim amount, if any, to which there is no objection.
