Transcript Redaction Request

Rev. 02/12/2024

Fed. R. Bankr. P. 9037(a)

The attorneys or pro-se parties ("Party") are responsible for reviewing the transcript, identifying personal information to be redacted, and providing the court reporter or transcriber with a statement of the redaction.

Within seven calendar days of filing the official transcript, each Party must inform the court, by filing a notice of redaction, of his or her intent to direct the redaction of personal data identifiers from the electronic transcript. If the Party fails to file the notice, the court will assume redaction from the transcript is unnecessary. See Notice of Intent to Request Transcript Redaction

Within 21 calendar days after filing the official transcript, or longer if a court so orders, the Party must submit a statement to the court reporter or transcriber indicating where the personal data identifiers to be redacted appear in the transcript.

Within 31 calendar days after filing the official transcript, or longer if a court so orders, the court report or transcriber must redact the identifiers and file a redacted version of the transcript with the court.

Note: The Party is not required to file the redaction request with the court. However, if the Party chooses to file the request, the Party should use the event below.
