Child Support Creditor

Section 304(g) of the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1994 (Public Law No. 103-394) permits a child support creditor to appear and intervene in a bankruptcy proceeding without charge and without meeting any special local court requirement for attorney appearances when the child support party or counsel files the appropriate court form (Director's Form B2810) detailing the status of the child support debt. 

A child support creditor includes:

  1. Creditors to whom the debtor has a primary obligation to pay child support; and
  2. Any entity the support has been assigned under Section 402(a)(26) of the Social Security Act or assigned to the Federal Government or to any State or political subdivision of a State.

Important

When the pleading requires a filing fee, the movant must enter "Exempt" in the receipt field.

The movant may file the form as an attachment to the pleading/document or as a separate filing using the below docket event.
