Motion to Reopen and Reinstate a Bankruptcy Case

When a party files a motion to reopen and reinstate a dismissed case or set aside an order dismissing the case, the filer must select two docket events and pay a reopening fee.

To simultaneously select both events, hold down the "Ctrl" key.

Motion Docket Events:

[Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications > Reopen (select according to Chapter)]

[Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications > Reinstate Bk Case]

Amended Motion

  1. File amended motion using the above docket event;
  2. Enter the receipt number, for the filing fee paid for the original motion, in the receipt field; and
  3. Select "Amended" from the prefix drop-down list.
