At any time, the debtor may convert a case from a chapter 7 to a chapter 11 provided the case has not previously converted from a chapter 11, 12, or 13. See 11 U.S.C. § 706(a) After notice and a hearing, the court may convert a case from a chapter 7 to a chapter 11 at the request of an interested party. 11 U.S.C. § 706(b) |
When the court grants the debtor's motion, they must pay a conversion fee.
