Application to Pay Filing Fee in Installments

Individual debtors can ask the court to pay the filing fee in installments by filing Official Form 103 Application for Individuals to Pay the Filing Fee in Installments ("Application") with their voluntary petition.

If the debtor has an attorney, they must file local form MSSB-LR-1006-1 to disclose their attorney's fees. Click here for more information.

Notes:

  1. The debtor must check the box on the voluntary petition showing they will pay the filing fee in installments. (See Part 2 #8 on page 3.)
  2. The debtor can pay up to 4 installments, with the last payment due within 120 days of filing the case.
